Mike Deane Motors is a busy automotive workshop situated on State Highway 2, 150 metres North of the beautiful Omokoroa. Mike and Joann have been a solid part of the community for over 33 years, they pride their business in the quality of workmanship and the loyalty received from the community.

WARRANT OF FITNESS
A Warrant of Fitness (WoF) is an official New Zealand document certifying that a light motor vehicle or motorcycle has passed a compulsory periodic inspection of safety and roadworthiness.
AIR CONDITIONING
Keeping cool in summer is important for comfortable safe driving. We have the latest Air Conditioning service and re-gasing equipment and qualified staff to ensure your air conditioning is working correctly.
Trailer Hire
We have a range of trailers for hire. Furniture trailer, Standard trailers, Caged and non caged and a Transporter, extra wide and long to carry larger vehicles.
SERVICE
One of the most important aspects of vehicle maintenance is one that can sometimes get neglected – servicing. A vehicle service including an engine oil and filter change is vital for your car’s health, and needs to be performed on time, every time, if you want your car to run smoothly, efficiently and safely.
TYRES & BALANCING
Your tyres are a crucial part of keeping your vehicle safe to drive – Think about maintenance, when the wheel rotates, asymmetries of mass may cause it to wobble, which can cause ride disturbance. It can also result in a wobbling of the steering wheel or of the entire vehicle. Visiting us for regular tyre rotation, wheel balancing and alignments will help to get the best life out of your tyres.
WHEEL ALIGNMENTS
Wheel alignment is part of standard automobile maintenance that consists of adjusting the angles of wheels to the car manufacturer specifications. The purpose of these adjustments is to reduce wear, and to ensure that vehicle travel is straight and true (without “pulling” to one side).
AUTO ELECTRICS
We have the latest Electronic Diagnostic Scanning Equipment, this enables us to ‘plug in’ to all vehicles and scan warning light systems. We are also able to examine internal codes and possible faults which have been logged by your cars Electronic Control Unit (ECU)

EXHAUSTS
An exhaust pipe must be carefully designed to carry toxic and/or noxious gases away from the users of the vehicle. We have the tools and equipment to repair, replace or manufacture exhaust systems.

My boyfriend and I are backpackers, and after bringing our car, we found out there was many many issues on it. We were lost, desperate, and did not know what to do. Mike Dean and his team help us a lot, gave us advice (they advised us not to repair the car because it was not worth spending the money), and in the end, we bought a new car and they did all the inspection and repair work it needed for a very very decent price. We cannot thank them enough and highly recommend them, also to backpackers who are willing to find a trustworthy mechanic! 🙂
